Joy Lynn makes her home in Waco, TX, with her husband Bob and stepson Jonathan. They are members of and attend First Baptist Church of Elm Mott, TX, where Joy Lynn resigned from her 3-year position as music minister to devote more time as a contact person for Life Ministries as well as continuing as one of the Life Ministries singers.

However, she is still very involved in the children's program at her church. She has also briefly sung with the trio The Latimers, but throughout this time, she has remained devoted to LMEA since its humble beginnings in 2002.
